Themes of my life right now

AKA first world problems

Skipping class because I have to go grocery shopping because my stove is broken and I need food I can make without a stove because it takes housing so long to fix it and I’m too broke to order take-out or eat at 7-11 for the few days before my stove is fixed.

Would have preferred to skip early class because I need more sleep and am sort of sick but I know I will feel a little better later in the day and also early class is not fun to sit through but that wouldn’t give me enough time to go to the store. Plus the class I have to skip is seminar-style and we get points for being there. Oops.

I have more med school interviews than money to pay to travel to them. (Not that I have loads - three - but still, it’s exciting!) Fingers crossed for more to come.

I haven’t had a travel-free weekend since school started and I won’t until the weekend between my Einstein interview and my Brown interview. Though in the middle of that first week I go to Iowa.

This weekend my mother and I are going to be canning 50lbs of tomatoes. FIFTY POUNDS. Definitely the event I’m looking forward to the most this weekend.

I turn 21 in October but the day after I have an early morning Krav Maga level three test so no partying for me. Also my boyfriend will be in Iowa taking the GRE. But my family and his has already planned to come out as soon as possible to watch my school’s pumpkin lunch because we are huge nerds like that. So I will be celebrating my birthday by watching trebuchet feats with my family and kicking hypothetical bad-guy ass.
